Analisis Column Settling Air Permukaan Anak Sungai Sail Dalam Penentuan Surface Loading Rate (Vo) Dan Waktu Detensi (Td) Dengan Koagulan Serbuk Biji Pepaya
ABSTRACT
Sedimentation type II is the deposition of flocculent particles, where there is an
interaction between particles so that the size increases and the rate of precipitation
increases. This study aims to analyze the depositional column in order to obtain an
isoremoval graph of coagulation and flocculation river water using papaya seed
powder and Obtain surface loading rate (Vo) and detention time (td) so that it
makes it easier to calculate and determine the sedimentation basin for water
treatment of the Sail tributary. The operating conditions that were varied were the
column settling depths of 25 cm, 50 cm, 75 cm, 100 cm and 125 cm with sampling
times for each port of 10 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes and 60
minutes. The results showed that the best turbidity removal from the depositional
column analysis was 88,81% at a column settling depth of 25 cm with a settling
time of 60 minutes. The suface loading rate value obtained to produce 85%
precipitation is 55 m3/day-m2 with a detention time of 40 minutes.
