Analisa Suseptibilitas Magnetik Dengan Kandungan Logam Berat Akibat Polutan Kendaraan Bermotor Di Beberapa Ruas Jalan Kota Pekanbaru
Research on the importance of magnetic susceptibility, mass susceptibility and heavy metal content due to automotive contaminants has been performed. The method used to identify heavy metals in this research is experimental method. magnetic susceptibility and X-ray fluorescence. Samples were collected from three main roads in Pekanbaru city namely : Sudirman Street, Ahmad Yani Street and Pangeran Hidayat Road. Samples were taken from road surfaces with a soil sampling diameter of 20 cm and a sample size of 25 points per lane. The sample mass taken at each point was 2 kg. The sample was dried and then separated between magnetic and non-magnetic particles using Neodymium Iron Boron magnet, the results of the separation were called concentrates. The magnetic induction value of the solenoid, sample and concentrate as a function of applied current (200,400,600,800,1000) mA was determined using Pasco Magnetic Probe PS-2162 and 2500 winding solenoid with a length of 10 cm and a diameter of 3 cm. The magnetic induction value increases when the electrical current increases. The findings of this analysis showed that the magnetic susceptibility of samples and concentrates had values of (2467.8 to 7589.1) × 10-5 and (4888.8 to 11095.8) × 10-5, while the mass susceptibility of samples and concentrates has values (1272.05 to 7092.63) × 10-8m3/Kg and (2284.48 to 7513.05) × 10-8m3/Kg. Based on these values, it can be shown that the magnetic particles in the three parts of the road were ilmenite particles (FeTiO3; Antiferromagnetic). The XRF test results showed that all the concentrates contained Mn, Ni, Cu, Zn and Pb heavy metals. Based on the threshold value of heavy metals as soil contaminants, it is well known that the content of Cu, Zn, and Pb at JS 08, AY 01, and PH13 concentrations exceeded the threshold. Ni material had reached the threshold only to focus on JS 08.
