Pembuatan Dan Karakterisasi Elektroda Karbon Dari Pelepah Aren Dengan Variasi Persentase Koh Untuk Aplikasi Sel Superkapasitor
Supercapacitor is a capasitor with capacitance values much higher than ordinary capasitors, it also has have high energy and power density. Electrodes are one of the four main components of cell supercapacitors. Proper behavior electrode is an electrode that has a high surface area. In this research, carbon electrodes were produced from sugar palm midrib biomass. The percentage of activators potassium hydroxide (KOH) can affect the quality of supercasitor carbon electrodes. Percentages KOH using 5%, 10%, and 15% which was labeled as PA-05, PA-10, and PA-15 respectively. Electrodes were produced through a pre-carbonization process, chemical activation, carbonization process using N2 gas at temperature 6000C and physical activation using CO2 gas at temperature 9000C. Thermal analysis using TGA produces mass reduction at temperatue 300,4°C with maximum speed 0,287 mg/min. The highest density value was obtained in PA-15 which is 0.919 g /cm3. Microstructure analysis of carbon electrodes using XRD shows that the resulting diffraction pattern is semicrystalline by the presence of peaks at an angles of 2θ around 240 and 440 corresponding to the plane hkl (002) and (100). The optimum specific capacitance value was produced in the P-10 which is 158 F/g and the lowest capacitance was produced in the sample PA-05 which is 123 F/g.
