Strategi Pengelolaan Taman Hutan Raya Sultan Syarif Hasyim Provinsi Riau

Sultan Syarif Hasyim Forest Park (Tahura SSH) Riau Province is a conservation area with an area of 6,172 hectares. Illegal occupancies and illegal logging prevent the management of the area from being optimal. This study aims to determine the existing conditions, management activities, and formulate strategies and priority scales for the management of Tahura SSH. The data was collected through vegetation analysis, depth interviews, observations, and document reviews. The data were analyzed in a descriptive qualitative manner with a combination of the SWOT and AHP methods. Based on data analysis, the results found in this study are that the SSH Forest Park management strategy focuses on W-T strategies or improves existing weaknesses to minimize threats with priority aspects of implementation, namely the determination of the SSH Forest Park area, utilization of the Tahura SSH area, prevention of encroachment. land, and prevention of illegal logging. The strategy recommended in this study is the division of blocks, restoring the function of Tahura SSH as a protected area and the lungs of the surrounding area, accelerating the restoration of the ongoing Tahura SSH area, clarifying the boundaries of the Tahura SSH, maintaining existing natural forests, and maximizing legal sanctions. against activities that damage the SSH Tahura.
