Pneumonia is a disease that attacks the lungs characterized by coughing and difficulty breathing. Efforts to reduce the incidence of pneumonia in children under five with a social ecological approach that emphasizes the interaction between individuals and the environment and the interdependence of various factors. The purpose of this study was to determine the social ecological model of pneumonia incidence in toddlers. Method : This research is a survey research with analytic quantitative methods. To formulate a social ecological model using analysis modeling methods dynamic system.Result: Physical environmental factors in the house associated with pneumonia are the walls of the house, humidity and lighting. The behavioral factor is the presence of smokers in the house. Individual factors of the child, namely the child's birth weight and immunization status. Most of the distribution (spatial) patterns of pneumonia were in Pelalawan Sub District, namely 60%. Meanwhile, the area with the least cases of pneumonia was Bandar Petalangan Sub District. Pneumonia cases in children under five increase in the rainy season compared to the dry season. The best model of ecology-social incidence of pneumonia in toddlers is an optimistic model scenario, namely by improving the quality of the physical environment of the home and environmental health and improving the quality of individual children by 10% which is predicted to reduce the number of pneumonia sufferers from 460 in 2018 to 18 people. in 2038, or decreased by around 96.08%. The resulting model can serve as a basis for consideration of policy makers at both the Pelalawan Regency and Riau Province levels, as well as for the central government regarding the handling of pneumonia in children under five.
