Pengaruh Pendopingan Aluminium Pada Zinc Oxide Dan Penambahan Perak Pada Molekul Dye Terhadap Efisiensi Dye Sensitized Solar Cell

Dye Sensitized Solar Cell (DSSC) is made with sandwich arrangement consisting of Fluorine Tin Oxide (FTO), Zinc Oxide (ZnO), dye, electrolyte, and plastisol. DSSC modifications have been made by dopping aluminum (Al) on the ZnO nanorod and adding silver (Ag) to the dye molecules. Al dopping in ZnO grown using the seed mediated hydrothermal method at 90
for 8 hours it was carried out at a concentration of 1 mM, while the addition of Ag to the dye molecule was carried out at a concentration of 5 mM, 10 mM, and 15 mM. The results of characterization of samples using Spectroscopy Ultra Violet-Vissible (UV-Vis) showed the strongest absorbance with the optimum absorption rate in Al doped ZnO samples with the addition of 10 mM Ag, occurring in the wavelength range of 465 nm - 535 nm. The results of the Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM) of the sample show that the ZnO nanorod growing has a hexagonal cross-section. The results of the Energy Dispersive X-ray (EDX) characterization did not show the presence of Al in the sample because the concentration was too small. X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) pattern at angle 2

shows 5 diffraction peaks, that is 31,777
; 34,433
; 36,264
; 47,554
; and 56,612
. These five diffraction peaks correspond to the crystal orientation of (010), (002), (011), (012), and (110). The XRD pattern which has the strongest diffraction peak is at angle 2
36,264
corresponding to the crystal orientation (011). The I-V characteristics of cells showed an increase in the efficiency of the Al doped DSSC and added Ag to the dye molecule. Pure ZnO based DSSC has an efficiency of 0,450%. Al dopping on ZnO produces DSSC with an efficiency value of 0,500%. The highest efficiency was resulted from ZnO based DSSC which was doped Al and added 10 mM Ag to the dye molecule which was 1,367%.
