Pengembangan Alat Pengukur Ketinggian Air Pada Lahan Gambut Menggunakan Sensor Ultrasonik Hcsr-04
The height of the water level in peatlands greatly affects the peatland
ecosystem. Poor water management on peatlands is one of the triggers for the
destruction of peatlands. The water level of the peat that must be maintained to
maintain the stability of the peatland is 40 cm. This research used an experimental
method of measuring the water level in peatlands using the ultrasonic sensor
HCSR-04 and the Arduino Uno with a wave propagation of 349 m/s.
Measurement of water level using the ultrasonic sensor HCSR-04 which is
applied to peatlands is measured with a laboratory scale and temperature
variations and variations of the prototipe wall. Measurements are made with a
distance from 100 mm to 500 mm. The result of measuring of the water level an
errorof 1.7%.The measurement of variation has a higher error, namely 10.3% for
temperature maximum and 5.6% for prototype wall variations. The results of this
study indicate that the ultrasonic sensor can be affected by temperature and
attenuation factors. The prototype application in the peatlands starting at 12.00
WIB to 06.00 WIB getting measurement results a maximum water level reduction
that is 0.34 cm.
