Implementasi Pendekatan Konstruktivisme Dalam Pembelajaran Menulis Teks Eksplanasi Siswa Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 23 Pekanbaru
The constructivist approach to learning provides freedom for students to build their own knowledge to find solutions presented in the environment, stimulate existing knowledge of students, and train students. This study aims to determine the category of ability to write explanatory text results of pre-test and post-test results of students of class VIII SMP Negeri 23 Pekanbaru, to know the comparison of categories of ability to write explanatory text of pretest results and posttest results of class VIII students of junior high school 23 Pekanbaru by gender, to know the implementation of the approach Constuctivism in learning to write explanatory text for eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 23 Pekanbaru, knows the comparability of the category categories of the ability to write explanatory text from the pretest and posttest results for the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 23 Pekanbaru. The research method is quasi-experimental. Data collection techniques are essay tests and learning activities. Data were analyzed using parametric inferential statistics. The results showed that the post-test results were higher than the pre-test results, there was no significant difference in the ability to write explanatory text based on gender. This was seen from the results of the pre-test and post-test which had increased significantly from before being treated and after being given treatment.
