Pengaruh Relaksasi Otot Progresif Dan Terapi Zikir Terhadap Gula Darah Pada Penderita Diabetes Melitus: Literature Review Pengaruh Relaksasi Otot Progresif Dan Terapi Zikir Terhadap Gula Darah Pada Penderita Diabetes Melitus: Literature Review
Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a non-communicable disease whose numbers are likely
to increase in the future. Management of lowering blood sugar levels requires a
combination of pharmacological and non-pharmacological for independent
handling in order to reduce the dose of pharmacological use in the future. The
purpose of this literature review is for a systematic review of research articles that
evaluate the effect of progressive muscle relaxation and dhikr on blood sugar in
patients with diabetes mellitus. The method used is a literature review conducted
using Google Scholar and Wiley online data search engines published in 2016-
2020 from Indonesian researchers' articles published in English. Based on the
results and discussion of seven articles that were reviewed in the quasiexperimental
design, it was found that progressive muscle relaxation and dhikr
reduced glucose levels in the posttest intervention group by 50.21% while in the
posttest control group 24.08% and the remaining blood glucose levels increased in
control group post test is 25.71%. Based on the results of the literature review of
seven articles the conclusion is that there is an influence of progressive muscle
relaxation and dhikr in the intervention group that can significantly reduce blood
sugar in diabetes mellitus.
