Pengaruh Pendidikan Kesehatan Anticipatory Guidance Terhadap Pengetahuan Ibu Dalam Pencegahan Cedera Pada Anak Usia Toddler

Children of childbearing age (1-3 tahun) are at an intense stage in
exploring the environment so can cause the injuries, which can result in disability,
trauma, even death.Anticipatory guidance is a guideline given to parents in
overcoming problems that may occur in children, one of which is the risk of
injury that can occur in toddlers. The study aims to know the impact of a health
education anticipatory guidance on a mother’s knowledge inpreventive child
injury prevention in toddler. Method: The method used in an experiment design
with non equevalent design control group. The sample research consist of 40
respondents who divided into two groups that were experiment groups and control
groups that taken through the simple random sampling. The analysis used was
analysis bivariates by using Mann Whitney. Result: Research suggests that there
is a significant difference between a mother’s knowledge after given a health
education about the injury prevention with p value (0,000) < α (0,05).
Conclusion: A predicory anticipatory guidance health education increased
maternal knowledge in the prevention of injuryto toddler-aged children in the
working area of the Pekanbaru City Health Office. Researchers suggest providing
training for injury prevention.
