Hubungan Dukungan Orang Tua Terhadap Kesiapan Toilet Training Pada Anak Usia Toddler

Toilet Training is one of the tasks of toddler’s psychosexual
development, especially the anal phase. The readiness of toddler’s toilet training
consists of physical, mental, and psychological readiness. Toddler need parent’s
support in achieving it. This research aims to determine the correlation of parent’s
support with toddler’s readiness to toilet training. Methods: This research used
descriptive correlational design with cross sectional approach. This research took
51 parents who have toddler as sample by purposive sampling technique. The
measuring instrument of this study was questionnaire. The analysis used chi
square test. Result: The results of this research found 26 parents who have good
role (72,2%) and had toddler whose ready to do toilet training (p value 0.007;
alpha 0.05). Conclusion: The results of this research showed that there is a
significant correlation of parent’s support with toddler’s readiness to toilet
training.
