Pengaruh Self Management Terhadap Status Fungsional Penderita Pasca Stroke: Literature Review
Stroke or cerebral vascular injury is a condition due to a sudden decrease in blood
flow to the brain, this condition is caused by both ischemic and hemorrhagic. One
of the effects of a stroke can cause patients to suffer physical disabilities,
consequently stroke sufferers find it difficult to accomplish daily activities, to
improve this ability one of the treatment or rehabilitation of post-stroke conditions
is to improve patient self-management. This study aims to determine the effect of
self management on the functional status of post-stroke patients. The method used
simple literature review. Data source publication article searches are performed on
semantic scholar, BMC and taylor & francis. The search for research articles from
several countries the database using certain keywords in the 2016-2020 period, the
inclusion criteria include influence self management on the functional status of
post-stroke patients, from six articles conducted literature review all use the
experimental method. The results of the study showed all research articles which
showed that the self management program can increase physical activity of mild
stroke sufferers and only three articles that show significant results from the self
management intervention on functional status, and three other journals only show
changes in the functional status of stroke patients with intervention self
management. The conclusion effect of self management in improving the
functional status of post stroke patients must have the ability to include goal
setting, problem solving and health related information.
