Penerapan Model Discovery Learning Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Matematika Siswa Kelas XI MIPA 2 SMA Negeri 12 Pekanbaru
This research is a class action research that aims to imrpove the learning process and increase mathematics achievement of the student by apply Discovey Learning model. The subject of this research is teh student of class XI MIPA 2 SMA Negeri 12 Pekanbaru at the first semester in academic year 2019/2020, with total of participant are 31 students, consists of 13 male and 18 female with heterogeneous ability. This research has two cycles, each cycle has three meetings and one test. The instruments used in this research were learning instruments and the instruments of collecting data. The learning instruments used include syllabus, lesson plan, and student work sheets, while the instruments of collecting data were observation sheets and learning mathematic test. Based on the analysis of the observation sheet showed that the learning proses has improved after the Discovery Learning model being implemented. Based on data analysis of the student’s achievement test, the persentage of students reached the Minimum Mastery Criteria (MMC) in knowledge competencies incerase from a base score of 25,81% (8 students) to 64,52% (20 students) in the first test and increased to 87,10% (27 students) in the second test. The increase in the persentage of students reached the MMC also in skills competencies incerase from a base score of 25,81% (8 students) to 51,61% (16 students) in the first test and increased to 67,74% (21 students) in the second test. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that the implementation of Discovery Learning model can improve learning process and increase student’s mathematics achievement at class XI MIPA 2 SMA Negeri 12 Pekanbaru at the first semester in academic year 2019/2020.
