Gambaran Riwayat Pemberian Asi Eksklusif DanMpasi Pada Batita Stunting Di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Tambusai Utara 1 Kabupaten Rokan Hulu
The main nutritional problem facing developing countries is
stunting. Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem that can provide a picture of
growth failure that has accumulated since before and after birth caused by
insufficient nutrient intake. Exclusive breastfeeding and complementary feeding
are also factors associated with stunting in children. The purpose of this study is
to describe the history of exclusive breastfeeding and complementary feeding in
stunting toddlers. Methods: In this study, the researcher used descriptive analysis
method with a quantitative approach. The population of this study were all 38
stunting toddlers in Tambusai Utara 1 Public Health Center with total sampling
technique. ResultsThis study shows that the majority of stunting toddlers are in
the age range of 25-36 months as many as 16 respondents (42.1%), majority birth
weight ≥2.5 kg as many as 22 respondents (57.9%), majority length body ≤48 as
many as 24 respondents (63.2), the gender of the respondents was the majority of
women as many as 22 respondents (57.9%). The results showed that only 8
respondents (21.1%) received exclusive breastfeeding (21.1%) and for the history
of giving complementary foods, most of the respondents, 20 (52.6%), were given
complementary foods which were not appropriate, this can seen from the
timeliness, frequency, type and portion of giving complementary foods.
Conclusion: Most of the stunting toddlers at Puskesmas Tambusai utara 1 did not
receive exclusive breastfeeding and inappropriate complementary feeding so that
health workers could provide health education regarding knowledge of exclusive
breastfeeding and complementary foods to prevent stunting.
