Gambaran Faktor-Faktor Penyebab Risiko Cedera Dan Pengalaman Cedera Pada Anak Usia Sekolah

Injuries are the conditions that can cause harm as well as damage the body.
Injuries commonly happen to school-aged children. This study aimed to determine
injury risk factors among school-aged children. It was a descriptive study taking
place at 2 primary school in Pekanbaru. 164 respondents comprising primary
school students grade 4 and 5 took part in this study and ware selected based on
inclusion criteria using accidental sampling technique. The data was collected
using questionnaire which previously had been through validity and reliability
test. Univariate analysis was applied to analyze the data, and the result showed
that regarding economic social factor, 101 respondents (61,1%) came from
families of low social and economic level, whose income below regional
minimum income (UMR), while regarding environment factor, attended school
that were considered safe. It is suggested that school can determine the injury risk
factors among and injury experience school-age children and than make
adjustment within their environment in line with school children growth and
development phase.
