Gambaran Tingkat Efikasi Diri Menyusui Pada Ibu Post Sectio Caesarea
Breastfeeding is a physiological process that can provide optimal nutrition to
babies. Breast milk is an ideal nutrient to support the overall health, growth and development
of the baby. This study aims to describe the level of self-efficacy of breastfeeding in post
sectio caesarean mothers. Methods: This study used a descriptive design. Respondents in this
study amounted to 40 people with a purposive sampling technique carried out in the working
area of the Puskesmas inpatient Tenayan Raya, Pekanbaru City. The measuring instrument
used was the breastfeeding self-efficacy short scale form (BSES-SF). The analysis used is
univariate to determine the frequency distribution. Results: The results showed that the
majority of the respondents' age range was 20-35 years (77.5%), most of them did not work
(57.5%), their latest education was college (52.5%), respondents who had breastfeeding
experience ( 80.0%), the number of respondent children shows that the highest number is the
second child (47.5%) and the breastfeeding status who gives formula milk to their babies
(42.5%). The description of the self-efficacy level of breastfeeding in post sectio caesarean
mothers is low (65.0%). Measurement of the technical dimension of respondents has a low
level of self-efficacy (50%) and the dimension of intrapersonal thinking (52.5%) has a high
level of self-efficacy. Conclusion: The self-efficacy of breastfeeding in post sectio caesarean
mother is low. The results of this study can be used as a reference in health services in
providing education on the importance of exclusive breastfeeding for babies in post sectio
caesarean mothers.
