Gambaran Penerapan Patient Safety Resiko Jatuh Oleh Perawat Di Ruang Rawat Inap Kelas iii Rsud Arifin Achmad

Patient safety is a system which makes patient care safer at the
hospital. This system prevents the occurance of injury caused by the mistake in
doing certain treatment or not taking the treatment supposed to be taken. This is
caused by the low level of nurse knowledge in implementing patient safety with
action of preventing falling risk. Purpose: This research aims to know how the
implementation of patient safety risk of falling is by the nurse of inpatient room
class III at RSUD Arifin Achmad. Design: The design of this research used
descriptive design with total respondents 63 people selected through total
sampling technique. Method: The methode of this research used questionnaire
which beforehand had been validated. The analysis used was univariate analysis.
Result: The result of this research shows that the implementation of patient safety
related to Morse Fall Scare (MFS) measurement instrument is in good category in
the amount of 56 (89,9%). The installation of risk falling risk bracelet by the nurse
is in good category (89,9%). The implementation of restrain by the nurse is in
good category in the amount of 49 (77,8%), and the installation of bedrail by the
nurse is in good category in the amount of 62 (98,6%). Conclusion: The
implementation description of falling risk patient safety by the nurse of inpatient
room class III RSUD Arifin Achmad is in good category because the nurse has
good knowledge and sufficient work experience related to the implementation of
falling risk patient safety at the hospital. The results of this research are expected
to give information in developing Nursing Science about the safety of patients’
falling risk in the inpatient room.
