acupressure therapy is a non-pharmacological treatment method,
acupressure therapy is a development of massage therapy that goes hand in hand
with the development of acupuncture. The technique in this therapy uses fingers
instead of therapeutic needles carried out at the same points as those used in
acupuncture therapy. Acupressure therapy has various benefits, one of which is to
lower blood pressure. Purpose: The aim of this study was to determine the effect
of acupressure therapy on blood pressure in hypertensive patients. Design:
literature review. Data source: google scholar and pubmed. Inclusion criteria:
articles 2016-2020, using Indonesian and English, health articles, discussing blood
pressure reduction in people with hypertension. Result: Based on 5 research
articles, all articles stated that there was an effect or decrease in blood pressure in
hypertensive patients after being given acupressure therapy. Conclusion:
acupressure can lower blood pressure in hypertensive patients
