Gambaran Faktor Risiko Penyakit Jantung Koroner Pada Mahasiswa Fakultas Keperawatan Universitas Riau
Cardiovascular disease is a disease caused by malfunctioning of the heart and
blood vessels. Cardiovascular disease occurs due to atherosclerosis that develops
over a period of time. This study aims to describe the risk factors for coronary
heart disease in program A students of the Faculty of Nursing, Riau University.
This research was conducted in the Riau University Nursing Study Program with
a total of 244 samples. The measuring instrument used is a questionnaire. The
results of this study were respondents who had hypertension were 1.6%,
respondents who had obesity were 15.2%, respondents who had diabetes mellitus
were 0.8%, respondents who had high cholesterol were 3.3%, family history of
having CHD as much as 7.8%, family history of having Diabetes Mellitus was
28.2%, family history of having high cholesterol was 48.8%, students who had
smoking habits were 1.1%, students who consumed alcohol were 0.8% , students
with a low physical activity level were 37.7%, students with moderate physical
activity levels were 37.3%, students with high physical activity levels were 25%,
and students with high cholesterol consumption were 35.24%. The conclusion is
that some of the risk factors for CHD are in students and the most significant risk
factors for CHD are at low activity levels, followed by high cholesterol
consumption and at the upper threshold. This research is expected to be a
reference material for future researchers to conduct research on the relationship
between physical activity and increased cholesterol.
