Stabilitas Silase Limbah Ikan Patin Yang Dibuat Dengan Metode Fermentasi Backslopping Selama Penyimpanan
ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the stability of pH, NPN and
proximate silage of catfish waste (viscera) made with the addition of an inoculum
and without an inoculum during storage. The experimental design used was the
Paired samples test. The treatments made were 1) catfish viscera added 20%
molasses, 2) catfish viscera added 10% molasses and 10% inoculum. The
parameters evaluated were pH, NPN and proximate. The results showed that the
pH of the inoculum and without the inoculum was relatively stable because it was
at pH 4. The pH of the silage made with the addition of inoculum was lower than
without the inoculum. The NPN and proximate analysis showed that silage added
with inoculum had higher NPN and proximate values with water content of
66.60%, ash 1.49%, protein 20.60%, and 3.02% fat.
