Pandangan Masyarakat Nelayan Suku Akit Dalam Bekerja Di Desa Bantan Tengah Kecamatan Bantan Kabupaten Bengkalis Provinsi Riau

Abstract
This research was conducted in August 2020 at Bantan Tengah Village,
Bantan District, Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province. The method used is a
survey method by making direct observations into the field, collecting data
through interviews with a questionnaire. Respondents in this study were the
Akit Tribe fishing community using census techniques.
The results showed that the characteristics of the fishing community of
the Akit Tribe of Bantan Tengah Village were very experienced traditiona
fishermen with a moderate income level (sufficient for the daily needs of
fishermen families). However in the terms of fishermen’s education, the Akit
Tribe is still categorized as a low level of education. The view of the Akit Tribe
fishermen in working can be seen from three criteria, namely the view of the
Akit Tribe fishing community about waters, fishing and shipping are in the
category of strongly agree and the overall view of fishermen is in the very agree
category which means that fishermen's work is liked or expected and very good
for developed as a livelihood activity for fishermen. This is due to the Akit
Tribe fishing community in Bantan Tengah Village who always depend on their
life and livelihood from working as fishermen.
