Analisis Bioekonomi Ikan Teri (Stolephorus Sp) Di Perairan Selat Lalang Kecamatan Sungai Apit Kabupaten Siak
ABSTRACT
The increased utilization of anchovy (Stolephorus sp) resources in the
waters of the Lalang Strait can reduce the anchovy stock and if it exceeds the
carrying capacity, it will cause "overfishing". This research aims to determine the
optimal level of production, fishing effort, and economic chain, both biologically
and economically, so that the management of anchovy resources in the waters of
the Lalang Strait can be carried out sustainably. The research was conducted by
using secondary data analysis method. The analytical method used in this research
is a bioeconomic analysis using the Walter-Hilborn (W-H) estimation model
approach. The results of the study provide an indicator that the anchovy in the
waters of the Lalang Strait has not experienced "overfishing" both biologically
(biological overfishing) and economically (economic overfishing). In the MEY
condition, which is optimal economic management, the result an MEY value of
247,72 ton year-1 and an optimal effort (EMSY) of 148 unit, and MEY profits were
IDR 9,417,814,522, a MSY value of 247.75 ton year-1 and its corresponding effort
of EMSY 150 units and MSY profits were IDR 9,416,810,841. The results of the
bioeconomic analysis show that actual production is still below the sustainable
production value from production, effort and, economic chain. Based on this
analysis, the anchovy business effort can be increased from the actual effort of 48
units to 148 units which will provide maximum economic chain and sustainable
management of anchovy resources. The utilization rate of anchovy resources in
the waters of the Lalang Strait in 2012-2020 has an average value of 73%.
