Penamaan Unsur Tumbuhan Dan Hewan Di Kepulauan Meranti (Kajian Semantik Inkuistif)
This study aims to describe and explain the form of the naming of plant and animal elements in the Meranti Islands, and to describe the semantic meaning of inquisitive (thought) on the naming of plant and animal elements in the Meranti Islands. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The data collection method is the interview method which is followed by fishing technique, face-to-face technique, and note taking technique. The data analysis technique in this study began with the data inventory stage, the data analysis stage, the discussion and conclusion stages of the data analysis, and the reporting stage. The data collection technique used in this study was to use interviews. The interview method in this study uses three techniques, namely fishing techniques, face-to-face techniques, and note-taking techniques. The data source of this research is the language unit for the naming of plant and animal elements in the Meranti Islands. The data sources were nine informants. In the naming of plant and animal elements in the Meranti Islands, the study of Inquisitive semantics contained five forms of naming, namely sound imitation, mention of parts, mention of distinctive properties, place of origin, and material.
