Rasio Bahan Bakar Padat Terhadap Produksi High Pressure Steam Unit Power Boiler#3
ABSTRACT
A boiler or steam boiler is a device in the form of a closed vessel used to produce
steam. Power Boilers use a variety of solid fuels ranging from Coal, Bark, Empty
Fruit Bunch (EFB), Sludge, and Brown Fiber. Fuel is a substance that when heated
will undergo a chemical reaction with an oxidizing agent (usually oxygen in air) to
release heat. Observations in this final project have the main objective, namely to
see the effect of the Ratio of Solid Fuel Usage to the High Pressure Steam Unit
Power Boiler # 3. The method used to obtain the results of these observations is by
direct observation in the field, conducting direct interviews with field operators and
conducting literature studies. The data used in this observation are secondary data.
The average calorific value of coal (Coal) is 6651 kcal / kg with a steam to ratio of
6.54. The average calorific value of bark (Bark) is 3898 kcal / kg with a steam to
ratio of 2.02. The average calorific value of the Empty Fruit Bunch (EFB) is 4325
kcal / kg with a steam ratio of 2.02. The average calorific value of Sludge is 3080
kcal / kg with a steam ratio of 0,51. The average calorific value of Brown Fiber is
4388 kcal / kg with a steam ratio of 1.79.
