Implementasi Peraturan Gubernur Riau Nomor 25 Tahun 2019 Tentang Kebijakan Penerimaan Peserta Didik Baru Melalui Jalur Zonasi Di SMA Negeri 8 Kota Pekanbaru Tahun 2019
This research is motivated by the issuance of the Governor of Riau Regulation Number 25 of 2019 concerning the Policy for the Admission of New Students in 2019 through the Zoning Path at SMA Negeri 8 Pekanbaru City. Many parents of new students do not know and understand the zoning rules for new students. This is because people are less active in seeking information and lack of updates regarding the zoning rules, resulting in parents of new students being confused when registering their children to public high schools and parents wanting their children to be able to enter favorite schools, while the government is already create a national referral program, and no more favorite schools. This research aims to determine the implementation of the Governor of Riau Regulation Number 25 of 2019 concerning the Policy for the Admission of New Students in 2019 through the Zoning Path at SMA Negeri 8 Pekanbaru City and to find out the factors that support the implementation of the 2019 New Student Admission Policy through the Zoning in SMA Negeri 8 Pekanbaru City. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research method approach. Primary data were obtained directly through interviews from informants, namely the Riau Provincial Education Office, Public Relations of SMAN 8 Pekanbaru, teachers of SMAN 8 Pekanbaru, and parents of students. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the 2019 New Student Admission Policy through the Zoning Path at SMA Negeri 8 Pekanbaru City has been carried out according to the regulatory references and implementation guidelines, although among the public there are pros and cons regarding the zoning route policy. The factors that support the policy are appropriate as they should be.
