Pengaruh Budaya Organisasi Dan Altruisme Terhadap Kompetensi Sosial Guru IPA Di SMP Negeri Kota Dumai
Teachers are social beings who in their lives cannot be separated from the
life of the community and their environment so that teachers are required to have
adequate social competence. The implications of teacher social competence in
schools are related to the application of school organizational culture and the
altruism attitude of science teachers. So that social competence will synergize
with school culture and altruism in realizing the school's vision and mission.
Based on the background, several problems can be formulated in this study
as follows: 1) Is there a significant influence between organizational culture on
the social competence of science teachers at state junior high school of Dumai
city? 2) Is there a significant influence between altruism on the social competence
of science teachers at state junior high school of Dumai city? 3) Is there a
significant influence between organizational culture and altruism on the social
competence of science teachers at state junior high school of Dumai city?
The purpose of this study are 1) to analyze the influence of organizational
culture on the social competence of science teachers at state junior high school of
Dumai city, 2) to analyze the effect of altruism on the social competence of
science teachers at state junior high school of Dumai city, 3) to analyze the
influence of organizational culture and altruism on competence social science
teacher at state junior high school of Dumai city.
This study uses a quantitative approach with a population of 86 science
teachers at state junior high school of Dumai city. The sampling technique used is
simple random sampling, so that a sample of 71 science teachers is obtained.
Data was collected through the distribution of questionnaires as a research
instrument. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis, inferential
statistical analysis. Then the data obtained were analyzed by correlation analysis,
regression analysis, regression coefficients and coefficients of determination.
The results showed that there was a positive and significant influence
between organizational culture on the social competence of science teachers of
17.5%. There is a positive and significant influence of altruism on the social
competence of science teachers by 52.10% and there is a positive and significant
influence between organizational culture and altruism together on the social
competence of science teachers by 56.40% and the rest is influenced by other
factors that are not investigated in this study. Thus, it is hoped that the principal
will provide guidance on the social competence of teachers in each of the schools
they lead. For science teachers, they can improve and improve their altruism and
social competence by attending seminars and exploring new knowledge so that
they become a good school organizational culture and achieve school goals.
