Pengaruh Budaya Kerja Dan Motivasi Kerja Terhadap Kinerja Guru SMP Di Kecamatan Dumai Selatan Kota Dumai
Based on the result of observation and interview to the junior high school principle in south Dumai District, dumai City found low of performance teachere there. Therefore,the writer did the research to determine and analyze the effect of work culture and work motivation on the performance of junior high school teachers in dumai selatan district, dumai city. this research was conducted in 5 junior high schools in dumai selatan district, dumai city with a population of 147 people and took the sample with Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling technique with Slovin 5%, so it found 107 people.
Before distributing the questionnaire, the researcher first conducted a trial of the instrument on 30 respondents in other schools who had almost the same teacher characteristics as the sample. data analysis was carried out by descriptive analysis and imperial analysis. this technique was conducted to analyze the effect of work culture (X1) and work motivation (X2) variables on teacher performance (Y). the validity of the test items using the product moment and the reliability coefficient of the instrument were calculated using the cronbach alpha formula.
The results of the study can be concluded:1). Work cylture variable seen from demography on high interpretation. 2). Work motivation variabl seen from demography on high interpretation. 3).Teacher’s performance variable variable seen from demography on high interpretation. 4).There is a significant positive influence between work culture variables on the performance of junior high school teachers in dumai selatan district of 0.303 or 30.3%, in other words teacher performance is influenced by work culture by 30.3% while the remaining 69, 7% is influenced by other factors. 5)Tthere is a significant positive effect between work motivation variables on the performance of junior high school teachers in dumai selatan district of 0.347 or 34.7%, in other words, teacher performance is influenced by work motivation by 34.7% while 65.3% is influenced by other factors. 6).T here is a jointly positive significant effect between the variables of work culture and work motivation on the performance of junior high school teachers in dumai salatan district of 0.413 or 41.3% in other words teacher performance is influenced by work culture and work motivation of 41.3% while 58.7% is influenced by other factors.
