Kepemimpinan Perempuan : SMA Swasta Mutiara Harapan Pangkalan Kerinci Kabupaten Pelalawan
Leadership is the most important thing in an organization whether it is an organization in the field of economics or education. Leadership can be shared by everyone but depends on the individual's own abilities. There are no restrictions or prohibitions on being a leader for women or men. Unfortunately, society mostly turned a blind eye to women's leadership.
This study was conducted to explain that women can also lead their members and staff. Leadership owned by women can be equal to or more than men leadership if the character, experience and leadership style possessed by women are right in the lead. This study also aims to explain these things in a private school in Pangkalan Kerinci led by a female leader. This research has been done by using qualitative approach where the data has been represented qualitatively. Data collection has been done by using interview with the woman leader in SMA Mutiara Harapan Pangkalan Kerinci Kabupaten Pelalawan and open-quetionaire for academic and non-academic staffs. The data also has been analyzed by technique from Miles and Huberman which the processes were collecting the data, reduction the data, representing the data and making conclusion of the data.
After conducting research, it was found that good characteristics in communication, competent in work, intelligent and insightful, visionary and able to inspire are the keys applied in leading so that a leader manages to guide the staffs and produces the quality of education. The character creates a democratic-participatory leadership style that produces a good quality of education at SMAS Mutiara Harapan.
