Faktor-Faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Thickness Pada Kertas Copier Mr080800
ABSTRACT
Thickness is the perpendicular (thickness) between two paper surfaces by
measuring using a thickness measuring instrument, namely AutoLine 400 or L&W
Micrometer. In this final project, the author observed and analyzed the factors that
influenced the thickness of the MR080800 copier paper. Observations were made
using secondary data contained in PMIS (Project Management Information
System) and DCS (Distributed Control System). The data taken were: base weight,
ash content, calender loading, and thickness. The result of the observation shows
that the paper thickness decreased from 110 m to 109,1 m by increasing the ash
content from 24,2% to 25,15%. Paper thickness also increased from 109,1 μm to
110 μm by increasing the base weight from 78,4 g/m2 to 79,6 g/m2. In addition,
increasing the calendar loading from 30 kN/m to 36 kN/m will decreased the
thickness from 110 m to 109,1 m. From the analysis, it was found that the higher
the basis weight, the higher the thickness value would be, while the higher the
calender loading and ash content, the higher the thickness value would be.
