“Faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Pemakaian Clo2 Pada Tahap Bleaching”
ABSTRACT
Pulp is the result of separating fibers from wood and non-wood raw materials
through various manufacturing processes. Pulp consists of cellulose and
hemicellulose fibers which are used as raw material for paper. The kraft pulp is
produced by Fiberline 2 and Fiberline 3 with different cooking systems, chemical
consumption and number of taap bleaching. Chlorine dioxide (ClO2) is a
chemical used in the bleaching process. ClO2 is used in stages D0, D1 and D2 on
fiberline 2, while for fiberline 3 ClO2 is used in stages Dhot and D1. In using
ClO2, there are several factors that influence its use, namely kappa number,
temperature, tower volume, dilution factor and brightnees. For the use of ClO2,
fiberline 2 is more than that of fiberline 3.The use of ClO2 is 40.8127 kg/ton for
fiberline 2 and 35.8556 kg/ton, the use of ClO2 is for fiberline 3.
