Pengaruh Kondisi Pandemi Terhadap Emisi Co2eq Dari Aktivitas Di Fakultas Teknik Universitas Riau

ABSTRACT
GHG emissions will continue to increase along with the increase in energy. The
existence of the FT-UNRI has an impact on the environment as a result of the
activities and various activities that occur in it. The amount of activity and
activities carried out within the FT-UNRI will certainly affect the number of
emissions that will be produced.Activities that produce CO2eq emissions in the
FT-UNRI area are lecture activities, laboratory use activities, campus
administration activities, canteen activities, and other activities. during normal
conditions, analyze the value of CO2eq emissions resulting from the activities of
the Faculty of Engineering, University of Riau during the pandemic and during
normal conditions, and provide an alternative for minimizing CO2eq emissions
resulting from activities at the Faculty of Engineering, the University of Riau
during normal times. The method used is to group activities into 3 scopes based
on The Green House Protocol (GHG). Scope 1 of the use of campus operational
vehicles and canteen LPG consumption. Scope 2 of electricity consumption. Scope
3 of the use of vehicles for lecturers, staff, and students, waste generation, and
paper use. The results of the study of CO2eq emissions resulting from FT-UNRI
activities when normal were 2,585,238.88 kgCO2eq/yr and during a pandemic, it
was 508,588.49 kgCO2eq/yr. The biggest CO2eq emitters are electricity
consumption and vehicle activity by lecturers, staff, and students. The chosen
alternative for reducing CO2eq emissions is turning off the computer when left,
setting the room temperature at 24°C-27°C, implementing a car-free day system,
and using a bicycle to campus for a distance of 3 km.
