This thesis is “student learning obstacles in historical lessons at sma negeri 1 koto gasib in the pandemic time covid-19”. entitled Education is a need that must be met in the life of society, nation and homeland. The progress and retreat of a nation is determined by the creativity of the nation's education itself and the complexity of life's problems demands reliable and competent human resources.This study aims to determine (1). The process of implementing students in following history learning at SMA Negeri 1 Koto Gasib (2). The process of implementing the teacher while teaching at home during the Covid-19 pandemic. (3). Barriers to learning in history subjects at SMA Negeri 1 Koto Gasib. This research is qualitative in nature. Data collection techniques which include; Observation of interviews and documentation. The subjects of this study were 10 class history teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Koto Gasib, totaling 10 people. Data analysis techniques used data reduction, data presentation, data verification and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the obstacles experienced by teachers during online learning were the students' lack of understanding when carrying out the online learning process. The implementation of teachers in history subjects at SMA Negeri 1 Koto Gasib online learning in class XII IPS is by utilizing several types of applications such as whatsapp, google form, google meet,and kine master to make learning videos. The teacher makes learning videos and sends them via the WhatsApp application so that students can reopen the learning material provided by the teacher and study it again.
