Perbedaan Kosakata Dialek Melayu Di Desa Betung Dengan Dialek Melayu Di Desa Kesuma Kecamatan Pangkalan Kuras Kabupaten Pelalawan
This research is motivated by the existence of interest and curiosity about why the two villages are very close in distance, which use the same language but have many different uses of vocabulary in speaking in everyday life by the speech community. The purpose of the study was to describe the differences in vocabulary between the two villages. This research is expected to be a reference for similar research and as material to add insight. This research uses vocabulary theory, language variation, and dialect. This research is a qualitative research that uses descriptive analysis method. Data were collected using a swadesh vocabulary list and also with the methods of observation, interviews, listening and speaking techniques, and note-taking techniques. The collected data is then reduced, displayed, concluded. Based on the research process, namely the differences in the vocabulary of the Malay dialect in Betung Village and the Malay dialect in Kesuma Village, the authors found (123) differences in the vocabulary used by the speech community between Betung Village and Kesuma Village. This vocabulary consists of (21) nouns, (6) personal pronouns, (52) verbs, (2) interrogative pronouns, (24) adjectives, (4) numerals, (2) adverbs, (3) indicating pronouns, (2 ) conjunctions, (2) body parts, (4) plants, and (1) animals. These differences will be analyzed based on phonological and morphological distinctions. The author also obtained the results of the study, namely the factors that influence the difference in vocabulary used by the speech community in Betung Village and Kesuma Village.
