This study aims to determine the variation of methanol solvent on the lipid content of peat swamp microalgae and to produce a leaflet design for protist class X SMA. This research was conducted at the Biology Education Laboratory, FKIP UNRI in August-December 2020. This research was carried out in 2 stages, namely the experimental stage: the effect of variations in methanol solvent on the lipid content of peat swamp microalgae and the leaflet design stage: analysis of the potential development of teaching materials for class X protists Senior High School. The study used an experimental method with a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of experiment 1 with 3 treatments and 3 replications and experiment 2 with 3 treatments and 3 replications. Based on the results of the Analysis of Variance (ANAVA) at the 5% level, it showed that the 1st experiment produced the highest lipid content in the MC3 treatment and the 2nd experiment produced the highest lipid content in the MD3 treatment, but it can be seen that in the 1st and 2nd experiments, the MC3 treatment was more suitable to be used as alternative energy because it contains the highest lipid content of the 2 experiments. Meanwhile, based on the potential analysis of the research results, it can be used as a leaflet design for protist material for class X SMA at KD 3.6.
