This study aims to determine the interest and motivation of students in social science programs in choosing cross-interest biology at SMAN Kubu and SMAN Kubu Babussalam Rokan Hilir Regency. This type of research is a descriptive study. The research was conducted at SMAN Kubu and SMAN Kubu Babussalam Rokan Hilir Regency from August to October 2020. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling technique. The samples in the study were 35 students at SMAN 1 Kubu, 36 students at SMAN 1 Kubu Babussalam, and 38 students at SMAN 2 Kubu Babussalam. Data collection using questionnaire distribution techniques and data collection instruments using a questionnaire. The questionnaire trial data was tested for validity and reliability using the SPSS software program. The results showed that the results of the analysis on the interest and motivation questionnaire of students in the social science program in choosing cross-interest in biology at SMA N Kubu and SMAN Kubu Babussalam Rokan Hilir Regency were 78% with the High category. It can be said that students have high interest and motivation towards cross-interest biology lessons so that students have high attention in learning activities and get good learning outcomes.
