Village funds are budgets earmarked for villages that are transferred through the district / city APBD to finance governance, development, community empowerment, and society. Village funds are a source of village income that has the highest nominal amount when compared to other village income. So village funds must be disbursed quickly so that the village government can run its government properly.
This study aims to determine how the role of the local government in accelerating the process of distributing village funds in Kampar Regency in 2018 and to find out what causes the delay in the village fund distribution process and the impact of the delay in the distribution of village funds in Kampar Regency in 2018. The research location was conducted in Kampar Regency. which is precisely at the office of the Community Empowerment Agency and the Village of Kampar Regency, as well as at the DPRD Kampar Regency office, as well as in the three villages in Kampar Regency. Furthermore, data collection techniques are carried out by interview and documentation.
The result of this research is that the role of the Kampar Regional Government or the Village and Community Empowerment Service to accelerate the distribution of village funds is not optimal. This is due to several factors, such as the slow completion of the requirements for village fund distribution, and a lack of guidance, mobilization and supervision due to the number of resources that are not comparable to the number of village areas in Kampar District.
