This study aims to (1) Analyze the Types of Scout Extracurricular Activities at 018 Purnama State Elementary School, Dumai Barat District, Dumai City, (2) Analyze the Character Values Contained Through Scout Extracurricular Activities at 018 Purnama State Elementary School, Dumai Barat District, City Dumai, (3) Analyzing the Inhibiting Factors and Solutions in the Application of Character Values through Scout Extracurricular Activities at the 018 Purnama State Elementary School, Dumai Barat District, Dumai City.
This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that: (1) State Elementary School 018 Purnama, Dumai Barat Sub-district, Dumai City has several types of activities in scout extracurricular activities including persami camp, rope menali, marching rules (PBB) and peering, (2) State Elementary School 018 Purnama, Dumai Barat Subdistrict, Dumai City has implemented character values in scouting activities which held several character values that were applied, among others, discipline, neat, diligent and honest, (3) obstacles and solutions in the application of character values through the implementation of activities Scout extracurricular activities at the 018 Purnama State Elementary School, Dumai Barat District, Dumai City include the low understanding of scout coaches, lack of supporting facilities and infrastructure and low student motivation and low parental support and solutions proposed by the school include providing training for scout coaches to teachers builder, give understanding the importance of scouting for parents and increasing the budget for scouting activities.
