Analisis Miskonsepsi Siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas Kelas XII Di Kota Pekanbaru Tahun Ajaran 2020/2021 Dengan Menggunakan Metode Certainty Of Response Index (CRI) Pada Materi Fotosintesis Dan Respirasi Tumbuhan
Several research results stated that some students often experienced conceptions that tended to be wrong on the concepts of Photosynthesis and Plant Respiration. This concept is the most important concept in studies in biology because this concept studies the transfer of energy and matter in an ecosystem. Conception that tends to be wrong or a concept that is different from scientific agreement is called a misconception. One of the misconceptions can be identified by using a CRI (Certainty of Response Index). Based on some of these descriptions, it is necessary to analyze the misconceptions of high school students in Pekanbaru City using the Certainty Of Response Index (CRI) on the concepts of Photosynthesis and Plant Respiration. The purpose of this study was to identify the misconceptions of XII grade high school students in Pekanbaru city on the subject of Photosynthesis and Plant Respiration using the Certainty of Response Index (CRI) method.
This research is a survey research. This research was conducted in two high schools in Pekanbaru, namely SMA N 15 Pekanbaru and SMA IT Az-Zuhra Pekanbaru. The research was carried out in October-December 2020. The type of data needed is primary data. The data collected in this study, namely the answer to the diagnostic test and the confidence index response to the answers obtained directly from the data source by filling in the written test. The data sources were students of class XII SMA N 15 Pekanbaru and SMA IT Az-Zuhra Pekanbaru. The population in this study were 109 students of class XII at SMA N 15 Pekanbaru and SMA IT Az-Zuhra Pekanbaru, totaling 22 students. The number of samples in this study were the total population of the two SMA.
The data collection technique was carried out using written test instruments. The test instrument used is in the form of a multiple choice test accompanied by CRI. The data analysis used in this study was based on students' answers from the given tests. The data analysis technique of research results through several stages, first determining the value on the CRI scale used. Second, determine the scale value for CRI, then determine the category of students 'level of understanding based on the CRI and students' reasons for the choice of answers. This level of understanding category is based on the level of understanding according to Aliefman. Third, an answer / student analysis is carried out to distinguish between understanding the concept well, understanding the concept but not being sure, misconception, and not knowing the concept. Fourth, the percentage of students calculated on the four assessment results in each stratum. Fifth, a recapitulation of the average percentage level of understanding for all students was made.
The results showed The mean percentage level of understanding of SMA IT AZ-ZUHRA Pekanbaru on the concept of photosynthesis, namely understanding the concept of 37.90%, not understanding the concept of 5% and misconception of 57.33%. The mean percentage level of understanding of the students of SMAN 15 Pekanbaru on the concept of photosynthesis, namely

understanding the concept of 4.05%, not understanding the concept of 0% and misconception of 95.56%. The mean percentage level of understanding of SMA IT AZ-ZUHRA Pekanbaru on the concept of plant respiration, namely understanding the concept of 38.35%, not understanding the concept of 6.92% and misconception of 53.81%. The mean percentage level of understanding of students of SMAN 15 Pekanbaru on the concept of plant respiration, namely understanding the concept of 1.67%, not understanding the concept of 0% and misconception of
98.34%. The mean percentage of misconceptions of SMA IT AZ-ZUHRA Pekanbaru and SMAN 15 Pekanbaru on the concept of photosynthesis is that the highest percentage is found in the sub-concept of benefits of photosynthesis for plants of 96.15% and the lowest percentage is in the sub-concept of photosynthetic pigments of 53.19%. The mean percentage of misconceptions of SMA IT AZ-ZUHRA Pekanbaru and SMAN 15 Pekanbaru on the concept of plant respiration is the highest percentage found in the sub-concept of understanding respiration in plants, amounting to 84.62%. The lowest percentage is found in the sub-concept of understanding breathing and the sub-concept of time for plants to breathe, each of which is 67.58%.
