Uji Beberapa Konsentrasi Ekstrak Daun Krinyuh (Eupatorium Odoratum L.) Terhadap Mortalitas Ulat Grayak (Spodoptera Frugiperda J. E. Smith) Pada Jagung Di Laboratorium
ABSTRACT
Corn (Zea mays L.) is a strategic commodity in the development of indonesia agricultural and economic sectors. Pest attacks on corn are an obstacle in the cultivation of corn crops. Spodoptera frugiperda J. E. Smith is one of the pest of the corn plant which can cause production loss of up to 73% if the affected plant population reaches 100%. Control using vegetable insecticide extracts of krinyuh leaf (Eupatorium odoratum L.) is an alternative to control the armyworm pest (Spodoptera frugiperda J. E. Smith). This study aims to obtain an effective concentration of krinyuh leaf extract to control S. frugiperda in corn. The research was conducted at the Plant Pest Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture and Organic Chemistry and Natural Material Laboratory, Faculty of Engineering, Riau University. The study was conducted from August 2020 to October 2020. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with five treatments and four replications in order to obtain 20 experimental units. The treatments given various concentrations of krinyuh leaf extract, namely: 0%, 0.25%, 0.50%, 0.75% and 1%. Observation parameters consist of the initial time of death, lethal time 50, daily mortality, total mortality, temperature and humidity. The results showed that the concentration of 1% was an effective concentration for controlling the pest S. frugiperda with an initial time of death of 5,50 hours, a lethal time of 50 at 44,25 hours, a total mortality of 82,50% after application.
