Hubungan Kekerasan Verbal Dengan Self Esteem Anak Usia 5-6 Tahun Di Lundar Kecamatan Panti Provinsi Sumatera Barat

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between verbal violence and self-esteem for children aged 5-6 years in Lundar, Panti District, West Sumatra Province. This research is a quantitative research with the type of correlation research. The sample in this study were 52 parents who have children aged 5-6 years in Lundar, Panti District, Pasaman Regency, West Sumatra Province. The data collection technique used is through a questionnaire/questionnaire for parents. Research analysis using the correlation test of Pearson product moment with the help of IMB SPSS ver. 23. In this study, the variable verbal violence was included in the high category in the range of 66%-79%. While the self-esteem variable in children aged 5-6 years in Lundar, Panti District, West Sumatra Province is included in the low category in the range of 40%-55%. Based on the results of the calculation of the correlation test, the Pearson product moment value is 0.405 with a probability of 0.003. The correlation coefficient value of 0.405 lies in the range of 0.40-0.599, meaning that there is a moderately categorized relationship between verbal violence and self-esteem in a negative direction because the r-value is negative, which means the higher verbal violence, the lower self-esteem.
