Meningkatkan Kecerdasan Emosional Melalui Metode Bermain Peran Penokohan Hewan Pada Anak Usia 4-5 Tahun Di Paud Cempaka Kecamatan Mempura Kabupaten Siak
This study aims to determine the emotional intelligence of children aged 4-5 years in PAUD Cempaka,
Mempura District, Siak Regency. This research method is classroom action. The subjects of this study
were 15 children aged 4-5 years in PAUD Cempaka, Mempura District, Siak Regency. The results of
this study are generally the emotional intelligence of children aged 4-5 years in Cempaka PAUD is in
the low category. This means that the emotional intelligence of children in PAUD Cempaka there are
still those who are less able to realize themselves and manage their own emotions, are still lacking in
empathy and cannot motivate themselves and have not developed the ability to build relationships. The
application of the role-playing method of animal characterization can improve children's emotional
intelligence because children can establish social relationships. Besides being fun for children, this
method really makes children interested in developing emotional intelligence. In testing the hypothesis,
it can be seen the increase obtained from each cycle. Where the increase in emotional intelligence
obtained from before the action to cycle 1 greatly increased by 49.64% while the increase in emotional
intelligence from cycle I to cycle II was 50.35% and the overall increase in children's emotional
intelligence from initial data to cycle II was 125 ,4%.
