Pengaruh Media Spelling Words Box Terhadap Kemampuan Membaca Permulaan Pada Anak Usia 5-6 Tahun Di Tk Permata Kasih Bunda Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir
This study aims to determine the effect of the Spelling Words Box media on
the pre-reading ability of children aged 5-6 years in Permata Kasih Bunda
Kindergarten, Indragiri Hilir Regency. This study used a quantitative research
method in the form of an experiment with a one group pretest posttest design
research model. With a total population of class B children totaling 15 children
consisting of 6 boys and 9 girls. The object of this research is the pre-reading ability
of children aged 5-6 years. Data collection techniques are through observation and
documentation. The instrument used was the observation sheet. The test is used as a
data collection technique, the data obtained is then processed using the t-test to see
the comparison between the pretest and posttest. From the research results, the
pretest score is smaller than the posttest score. And the N-Gain value is the medium
category. So it can be concluded that the use of the Spelling Words Box media has an
effect on the beginning reading ability of children aged 5-6 years.
