Analisis Limbah Laundry Informal Di Kecamatan Sail Kota Pekanbaru
This research was conducted in August – September 2020 during the dry season
in Sail District, Pekanbaru City. Sampling was carried out at 09.00 am with 2
repetitions with an interval of 7 days, the sample was measured when the laundry
business was operating. This study aims to (1) analyze the pollutant parameters
contained in informal laundry wastewater, and compare it with the quality
standard of laundry waste according to the PERMEN LH RI. Number 5 of 2014,
(2) Analyzing the economic and social impact of the community around the
laundry activities in Sail District.
The research approach uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The
research population is a laundry business located in Sail District. The sampling of
the research used "a mixture of time and place" then obtained a sample of 5
sample points including 2 sampling points in Cinta Raja Village, 2 sampling
points in Suka Maju Village, and 1 sampling point in Suka Mulia Village.
Parameters that will be tested from laundry wastewater are Insitu (pH,
temperature, color and odor of laundry waste), Exsitu (COD, BOD, and MBAS).
For the impact of the laundry business on the economy, social and environment,
the community uses interviews and questionnaires. Analyze impact results using
tables and graphs.
The results obtained (1) The quality of drainage water at sampling point A(4),
sampling point A(5) and sampling point A(2) is categorized as polluted by laundry
business/activities located in Sail District and 2(two) sampling points are
categorized as not polluted. (2) The impact of business waste/laundry activities on
social and environmental aspects has not yet been felt by the community. And the
lack of responsibility of the laundry owner in managing liquid waste due to
laundry business/activities in the context of protecting environmental quality has
not been fully implemented.
