Kontribusi Disiplin Dan Budaya Organisasi Terhadap Komitmen Kerja Pegawai Dinas Pendidikan Dan Kebudayaan Kabupaten Rokan Hilir

This study aims to describe the contribution of discipline and organizational
culture to the work commitment of the employees of the Education and Culture
Office of Rokan Hilir Regency. The background of the problem in this study is that
some employees of the Education Office have a phenomenon that in terms of
demographic conditions, both male and female, 80% of employees still lack
awareness of their responsibilities and role as education managers for the
advancement of the world of education. Then it was still found that 75% of the
Education and Culture Office employees were less involved and less enthusiastic
about their work, did not express themselves physically, cognitively and
emotionally while carrying out their roles (disengaged employees). One example
of the above phenomenon is that there are still absent employees of the Education
Office and several administrations who have not finished on time. This is an
example of the problems in work commitments at the Rokan Hilir Education and
Culture Office. This type of research is descriptive quantitative research and the
method of Expost Facto with correlational research (correlational research). The
data collection technique used is a questionnaire with 42 respondents from 71
employees of the Education and Culture Office of Rokan Hilir Regency who were
randomly selected as samples using the Slovin formula. The research method was
carried out, namely the respondents gave responses to the questionnaire in the
form of a Likert scale consisting of five answer choices, namely Always, Often,
Sometimes, Rarely, and Never. Analysis of the data used is descriptive and
inferential statistics.
Based on the data analysis, it was found that the significant contribution of
the discipline variable to work commitment was 30.5% with a low interpretation,
because there were still 69.5% determined by other factors that were not part of
this study; furthermore, obtained a significant contribution between
organizational culture variables on work commitment of 32.6% with a low
interpretation, because there are still 67.4% determined by other factors that are
not part of this study; and obtained a jointly significant contribution between
discipline and organizational culture variables on work commitment of 42.2%
with a moderate interpretation, because there are still 57.8% determined by other
factors that are not part of this study.
