Hubungan Tingkat Pengetahuan Terhadap Sikap Remaja Putri Saat Menghadapi Menarche Pada Anak Sekolah Dasar
Introduction: Puberty In adolescence usually begins to appear the
presence of characteristics of primary and secondary sex development, such as
weight gain, height, hair growth in the pubic area, facial acne arises, and changes
in the breast. Puberty in young women is characterized by hormonal changes that
cause the arrival of the first menstruation or so-called menarche. Objective: To
know the relationship of knowledge level to the attitude of young women when
facing menarche. Method: This study used descriptive design correlation with
short tan cross sectional. The sample of the study was 81 elementary school
children who were taken using cluster random sampling techniques. The
measuring instruments used were knowledge questionnaires about menarche and
menarche attitude questionnaires that had been tested for validity and reliability.
The analysis used is anlisa univariate to determine the distribution of frequency
and bivariate using chi square test. Result: Research found that respondents had a
good level of knowledge with a positive attitude of 20 people (76.9%) and good
knowledge with negative attitudes there are 6 people (23.1%). A total of 29
respondents (59.2%) have sufficient knowledge with a positive attitude and as
many as 20 respondents (40.8%) have sufficient knowledge with negative
attitudes. While respondents who have less knowledge with a positive attitude
amounted to 1 person (16.7%) and respondents with less knowledge with negative
attitudes amounted to 5 people (83.3%). Further analysis was obtained by p-value
0.017 with alpha (0.05) so that there was a relationship of knowledge level to
adolescent attitudes when facing menarche in elementary school children in
handsome subdistricts.
