Stigma Petugas Kesehatan Terhadap Orang Dengan Gangguan Jiwa (Odgj)
stigma is something that refers to attitudes and beliefs that
encourage someone to reject, avoid or fear people they think are different. He
purpose of this research is to know the description of the stigma of health workers
towards people with mental disorders. Methods: this study used a simple
descriptive design with a quantitative approach. The sample used in this study
were 83 respondents who were taken using cluster sampling technique. The
measuring instrument used is a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and
reliability. The analysis used is univariate to determine the frequency distribution.
Results: this study describes the age range of the most respondents is 26-35 years
(42,2%), the majority of he sex is famele (90,4%), the latest education is S1
(47%), the majority of the respondent’s profession is a nurse (38,6%), and all
respondents do not have family members whit mental disorders. The stigma of
health workers towards people whit mental disorders is low (83.3%).
Conclusion: it can be illustrated that the stigma of health workers towards people
with mental disorders is low. The results of this study can be used as material for
consideration and sources of information for the development of nursing science,
health workers in reducing stigma, especially in people with mental disorders.
