Pengembangan E-Module Struktur Atom Sebagai Upaya Peningkatan Kemampuan Literasi Sains Dan Kemandirian Belajar Peserta Didik
Every student is required to have scientific literacy and learning
independence. Based on preliminary research, it is found that the scientific literacy
skills and learning independence of students are still low. So, to increase the ability
of scientific literacy and learning independence of students, it can be done by
developing and using the specially developed e-module atomic structure material.
This study aims to develop an e-module on valid atomic structure material
based on material experts and media experts and to get good responses from teachers
and students so that it can improve students' scientific literacy ability and learning
independence.
This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) with a
development model adapted from Borg and Gall. The subjects in this study were
students of class X IPA and class XI IPA at SMA IT AL-Fityah Pekanbaru, SMAN 8
Pekanbaru, SMAN 5 Pekanbaru and SMAN 3 Pekanbaru. The sampling technique
was purposive sampling.
The results showed that the atomic structure e-module developed three
meetings was declared valid by material and media experts with values of 88.97%
and 94.21%, respectively. E-Module gets good responses from teachers with an
average score of 89.49% and gets good responses from students with an average
score of 88.20%. From the calculation of the T-Test, it is concluded that there is a
significant difference between the value of scientific literacy and the learning
independence of students before and after using the e-module atomic structure. From
the N-Gain score, it was obtained that the value of increasing scientific literacy was
0.74 in the high category and the value of increasing learning independence was 0.66
in the medium category. Thus it can be concluded that the use of the e-module atomic
structure is effective in increasing the ability of scientific literacy and learning
independence of students.
