Taman Literasi Yang Memanfaatkan Ecobrick Berbasis Sampah Plastik
Making literacy parks in schools is a very important means of improving the reading culture in students. The development of a green literacy park must pay attention to environmental sustainability aspects in the form of energy, air, materials and land suitability, thereby reducing carbon emissions and monitoring natural resources. Ecobricks are a solution that can be applied in schools so that plastic waste, especially soft plastic produced in schools, can be used as something useful, namely being used as a literacy park. This research method is descriptive qualitative. Collecting data was obtained through questionnaires, observation and documentation. The research was conducted at SMP Negeri Pekanbaru City. The results showed that the amount of waste production for Junior High Schools (SMP) Pekanbaru City which consists of 45 schools with a total of 30,639 students in 2020 was 456,620kg/day. The construction of an ecobrick-based literacy park that is environmentally friendly is one of the solutions in handling plastic waste in schools, by using an aqua bottle ecobrick measuring 600 ml. The results of the cylindrical compressive strength test with a height of 30 cm and a diameter of 15 cm, The compressive strength of the test object is (10.62 N / mm²) in which an ecobrick is added when compared to the test object without an ecobrick with an average value (15.05 N/mm²) if there is a difference of 4.4 N / mm², the greater the pressure strength Ecobrick is not added in the test object, but the ecobrick is added to the specimen, which can provide 600cm3 of material. While the compressive force of the test object in which there is an average ecobrick of 121.933 kN and an average of 172.466 kN of no ecobrick there is a difference of 50.533 kN which is greater in the pressure of the test object with an ecobrick in it because the test object has a larger mass when compared to the test object. to which ecobric added. When compared with the standard brick Strength Classification of SNI 15-2094-1991 bricks, the quality of the ecobrick is equivalent to the quality of the 1st level brick. The literacy park building is an environmentally friendly building utilizing plastic waste, saving energy, utilizing solar lighting and adequate air circulation so that it can support literacy activities in schools to increase students' reading interest.
