Sungai Paku reservoir is a reservoir located in Village of Sungai Paku, Kampar Kiri subdistrict, Kampar District. This reservoir is used for various needs, including for irrigation, tourism, fisheries activities both capture fisheries and aquaculture using the floating net cage system (KJA) or with the ground pool system.
The use of Sungai Paku reservoir has not been measured economically so it is necessary to study the magnitude of the economic value of the use of the reservoir. This study aims to calculate the total economic value of the use of reservoir for aquaculture activities. The method used for floating net cages and ground ponds using the marked price method.
The result shows that total economic value of the use of Sungai Paku reservoir for benefit of fisheries activities is Rp.3.670.637.000,-/year, consisting of the utilization of the floating net cage fish cultivation of Rp.957.296.000,-/year and ground pool of Rp.2.713.341.000,-/year.
