Implementasi Peraturan Daerah Nomor 8 Tahun 2014 Tentang Pengelolaan Sampah Kota Pekanbaru

This research is motivated by the emergence of issues concerning waste in
Pekanbaru City. Waste management in Pekanbaru City itself has been regulated
through Pekanbaru City Regulation Number 8 of 2014 on waste management. In
the regulation mentioned that in waste control in pekanbaru city is managed
through 3 ways, namely Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. But the problem of waste to
date still continues to appear on the basis of attracting authors to conduct
research on waste management in Pekanbaru City.
This study aims to find out the implementation of Pekanbaru City
Regulation No. 8 of 2014 on Waste Management in Pekanbaru City and to know
the factors that affect the implementation of Pekanbaru City Regulation No. 8 of
2014 on Waste Management in Pekanbaru City. This research uses qualitative
descriptive research method approach. Primary data obtained directly through
interviews from informants, namely Intansi Dinas Lingungan Hidup dan
Kebersihan, Technical workers, and The Community.
The results of this study showed that the Implementation of Regulation No.
8 of 2014 on Waste Management in Pekanbaru City has not gone well. Through
the george iii model indicators can be known that there are several indicators that
have not supported the successful implementation of waste management in
Pekanbaru City and inhibitory factors in the Implementation of Regulation No. 8
of 2014, among others, the quality of human resources is uneven, facilities are
inadequate, incentives are lacking, compliance of citizens is still low.
